CISSA unites scientists, professionals, and social workers to champion innovation, inspire debates, and raise awareness on health, agriculture, environment, and culture for a sustainable and responsible future.

Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) was initiated by a community of dedicated minds consisting of scientists, engineers, doctors, teachers, social workers, policy makers etc. It is an organisation endowed with adequate infrastructure and support staff backed by a full time group of professionals, from disciplines like environment, sustainable development, food, agriculture, clean technologies, energy, traditional knowledge and Indian science such as ayurveda and yoga. CISSA is strengthened by an extensive volunteer network in the state and it works in close association with leading national and local NGOs and other related agencies. It maintains a high degree of integrity and answerability in all its activities. Founded in 2006, CISSA is registered under Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955, and located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
